How Recomendr measures AI visibility for local businesses

Recomendr asks AI assistants the kind of questions people type when they need a local business, like “Who's a good plumber in Calgary?” or “Emergency furnace repair near me in Edmonton”. It records whether the business is named, in what position, and which other businesses and sources are mentioned.
The score is the share of answers that name the business, out of 100. The free check runs a small set of questions; paid plans run a larger set every week across several AI providers.
AI answers change from day to day and differ by provider, so a single check is a snapshot, not a ranking. That's why the weekly scans track the trend.
We haven't published aggregate results yet. When we do, this page will link to them with the sample size, dates and providers, so the numbers can be checked.
